The Supreme Court clarified that its earlier observations regarding holding dog feeders liable for stray dog attacks were not made in a sarcastic tone but were serious in nature. The Court acknowledged concerns that some remarks may have led to unfortunate consequences, including attacks on dog feeders. It emphasised its intention to highlight accountability and responsibility in addressing the growing problem of stray dog attacks.

2. AIBE to be held twice a year; final-year law students can now appear: BCI tells Supreme Court

The Supreme Court was informed that the Bar Council of India has framed rules to conduct the All India Bar Examination at least twice a year and to permit final-semester law students to appear for the exam, subject to the condition that they have cleared their final-semester results, thereby easing the transition of law graduates into legal practice.
